For Ubuntu up to 12 use one of the standard deb packages, and for Ubuntu 13+ use the special Ubuntu 13+ package.
To install the deb and it doesn't look for dependencies (as apt-get would). So the usual way to install is:
1. sudo dpkg -i launcher.deb
2. sudo apt-get -f install
3. sudo dpkg -i launcher.deb
There is now a newly rebranded version of the MASSIVE Launcher called Strudel. MASSIVE is transitioning to using Strudel for desktop access. Feel free to trial it and give us feedback.
