NCMAS 2018 Call for Applications
The National Computational Merit Allocation Scheme (NCMAS) 2018 call for applications is now open. NCMAS 2018 information and application forms are available online at: https://ncmas.nci.org.au. Applications close at 8:00 pm AEDT, Friday 20th October 2017.
NCMAS is the premier competitive program for provision of high-performance computing resources for scientific research in Australia. NCMAS 2018 offers more than 200 million cpu-hours on four national HPC facilities:
- Raijin (NCI)
- Magnus (Pawsey Supercomputing Centre)
- FlashLite (UQ/RCC)
All applicants are encouraged to read the Information and FAQ pages on the NCMAS website in full before starting their applications. Email support for applicants is available at email@example.com.
Deep Learning for Life Sciences Workshop
NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) offers hands-on training for developers, data scientists and researchers looking to solve challenging problems with deep learning. DLI and the Monash eResearch Centre are excited to announce this full-day practical Deep Learning workshop at the Monash University Clayton Campus on Monday 30th October 2017.
This full-day workshop covers medical image segmentation using DIGITS, how to predict radiomics using Keras and TensorFlow, and how to use the DragoNN toolkit on real genomics data.
9.00 am - 12.00 pm Medical Image Segmentation with DIGITS (includes brief introduction to convolutional neural networks)
1.00pm - 3.00pm Image Classification with TensorFlow: Radiomics - 1p19q Chromosome Status Classification
3.00pm - 5.00pm Deep Learning for Genomics using DragoNN with Keras and Theano.
Note: Participants are required to bring their own laptop and laptop charger to the event. No need to install any special software!
Individual sessions are ticketed separately - please book for each session you wish to attend. See the flier and the registration webpage for further details and to register. Registrations close Sunday 29th October 2017.
We encourage all users to contact us about on boarding onto the M3 system. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about how to move across.
