The Monash Bioinformatics Platform is running a three day hands-on workshop with a focus on enabling researchers to be able to analyse RNASeq (next-gen sequencing) data. The workshop is aimed at graduate students and other researchers and will be held on Tuesday 7th, Wednesday 8th and Thursday 16th February 2017 at Monash University Clayton Campus.

From Monday 6th to Friday 10th February 2017, NCI will be running a High Performance Computing Summer School covering beginner and advanced methods for accessing and using HPC resources. Hosted on campus at the Australian National University (ANU), the Summer School is designed as a springboard for postgraduate research students and experienced research staff who wish to improve their skills in all facets of High Performance Computing (HPC) and high-performance data utilisation. SummerViz, the first Australian Summer School on Data Visualization, will take place from Monday 30th January to Friday 3rd February 2017 at Monash University Clayton Campus. SummerViz is suitable for Honours, Masters or PhD students who are about to start a research project in data visualization, as well as PostDoc researchers who are moving into data visualization.
