The NCI HPC Spring Session training will run from Monday 4th to Friday 8th September 2017 at The Australian National University (ANU). The Spring Session is designed as a springboard for postgraduate research students and experienced research staff who wish to learn more about NCI’s supercomputer and high-performance computing. Registrations close Friday 18th August 2017.

The Monash Bioinformatics Platform is running a one-day Introduction to R workshop, which will teach the fundamentals of R. The workshop is aimed at graduate students and other researchers and will be held on Thursday 13th July 2017 at Monash University Clayton Campus.

National Computational Infrastructure (NCI) is running a series of High Performance Computing (HPC) training courses from Tuesday 11th to Friday 14th July 2017 at the Boardroom, Monash University Law Chambers, 555 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne VIC 3000. The training is designed as a springboard for postgraduate research students and experienced research staff who wish to learn more about Raijin and HPC. Registration is free but places are limited. Attendees must register for each individual day they wish to attend.

Pawsey Supercomputing Centre is coming to Melbourne offering introductory, intermediate and advanced supercomputing training for all researchers. The training will be held from Monday 29th May to Wednesday 31st May 2017 at Monash University Clayton Campus. Researchers can book individual sessions or for all three days. Spaces are limited and registration is required before Wednesday 24th May 2017.

The workshop is aimed at graduate students and other researchers and will be held on Thursday 20th April 2017 at Monash University Clayton Campus.

Brains and Computers - The future of neuroscience and understanding the complexity of the human mind, is being hosted by the ARC Centre of Excellence for Integrative Brain Function on Monday 3rd April 2017 from 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm (AEST) at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Registration is free but seats are limited. Registrations close on Friday 31st March 2017.
