Deep Learning for Life Sciences Workshop

NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) offers hands-on training for developers, data scientists and researchers looking to solve challenging problems with deep learning. DLI and the Monash eResearch Centre are excited to announce this full-day practical Deep Learning workshop at the Monash University Clayton Campus on Monday 30th October 2017.

This full-day workshop covers medical image segmentation using DIGITS, how to predict radiomics using Keras and TensorFlow, and how to use the DragoNN toolkit on real genomics data.

9.00 am - 12.00 pm Medical Image Segmentation with DIGITS (includes brief introduction to convolutional neural networks)
1.00pm - 3.00pm Image Classification with TensorFlow: Radiomics - 1p19q Chromosome Status Classification
3.00pm - 5.00pm Deep Learning for Genomics using DragoNN with Keras and Theano.

Note: No programming skills are required for the Medical Image Segmentation wtih DIGITS session, however the remaining sessions assume basic Python programming ability. You do not need Python installed on your personal computer; all software is accessed via a web portal. Participants are required to bring their own laptop and laptop charger to the event. No need to install any special software!
